I wonder if anyone can help me with this, as it is ruining my whole FSX experience!
Not that long ago (perhaps 6-7 weeks), I started getting 'fatal error has occurred' messages and a resultant game crash/restart at random times, but, during every flight!
I carried out a compatibility check, it turned out that for some reason or other my FSX had decided to run itself in Windows Vista mode; whereas, I am using Windows 8.1! That seemed to have sorted out that problem (I think); however, I now have another seemingly worse problem; in that when I start a flight using even the simplest aircraft that I have, namely Just Flight's Chipmunk; my screens are VERY jumpy and jerky. and when in outside view on the ground, the screen pulses in and out and it is almost impossible to control the aircraft!
Once airborne, the jerkiness reduces a little bit, but certainly not as smooth as it once was!
As mentioned, I run on Windows 8.1; and have ORBX FTX Global Base; EU England/Scotland/Wales installed along with UK2000 VFR Airports for all of the UK.
I have not changed any of my settings at all, from those previously in use!
Also, for the record, I have now updated my ORBX FTX system to all of the new versions with still the same screen problems!
Can anyone offer a solution please, as I'm on the verge of giving up on FSX!!!
