Carenado/Alabeo dominated the FSX add-on aircraft market. They also developed a reputation of releasing add-on aircraft so fast that they were guaranteed to have bugs and because of...
Change is inevitable. I'm sure the old server and software is, well, outdated, and needs to be brought up to a modern standard. With that in mind, I welcome our new technological overlord.

I did get to see all but about the first 20 or 30 laps of the Daytona 500. Not very exciting, big crash near the end of the race that took out some of the better performing cars, ended under...
And the forecast calls for rain all day Sunday and into early Monday, so I won't be seeing the race. I did watch the truck race on Friday night, that was a fun one to watch. That was my feeling...
That one belongs to the Commemorative Air Force and is actually an LB-30.
Happy new year!
It might be more helpful if you could post a screen shot of the black and white scenery, but I will take a WAG that it is corrupt or missing texture files.
You were gone?
HA, ha, ha! Could not resist. Welcome back, Ed.
Standard USN practice during the piston engine era and into the early jet era was to have canopies open during takeoff and landing so as to allow quicker escape should something go wrong.
I have not yet moved from FSX. If I ever do, I expect I would move to a 64-bit version of P3D.
I liked the concept of MSFS and it's 10 year plan. I never did make the jump to MSFS and now I'm glad that I did not. If I want or need a 64-bit flight sim, I'd switch to P3D.
The soda bottle trap also works on yellow jackets, which are a species of ground dwelling (but they will nest inside of walls) wasp with a nasty attitude. Same bottle technique, but no light, just...
If I remember correctly, the "fasten seat belts" switch must be in the on position in order to keep the entry door closed when the engines are not running.
I have found the Steam Edition to run smoother and with fewer crashes than boxed versions of FSX.
Yep, looked at MSFS, but for real time weather with seasons and IFR, FSX/P3D still wins.
Holy cow! :icon_eek: :dizzy:
Oh, wow! She looks and sounds great. I'm sure she will get a lot of attention at Oshkosh.
As far as I know, all add-on's for FSX will work in FSX Steam Edition. The Steam Edition fixed some bugs in FSX, improved the handling of the limits on memory usage, and updated it so that there was...
Let us not forget the sacrifices by the few for the safety and freedoms of the many.
Sad news. Sorry to hear that he has passed away.
Very sorry to hear that he has passed away.
I have donated twice this year.
It's not just you, it's also me and every user of FSX Steam Edition for the past two years. The certificate expired and Steam elected to not renew it. I doubt they will ever seek to renew it.
Ultimate Terrain X does a pretty good job of making more accurate coastlines (with beach), rivers, lakes, and roads. For airports, Art Poole has made a bunch of airports for Florida and the Bahamas....
