I can tell you it is nothing like the 737 at all. That seems to be a big mistake people are making when flying the 777. Parked next to each other, the 777 absolutely dwarfs the NG. It is quite...
SOH has never been big on airliners. It is wildly popular at other forums.
Unlike it's competitor who's only strength is the graphics, the main point of the PMDG plane is the systems. It is hard...
Given the amount of time, people, and code that were put into this product, the cost is more than justified. We're getting quite the deal, actually. Remember that PMDG is a full-time developer with...
Looking great! :applause:
Looks like any other year...
They need to do something special for 2014. This was the first year I didn't attend since I started going in the mid 90's. Don't regret it one bit. :toilet:
I will vote with my wallet as soon as I get paid on Thursday. The NGX paid for itself many times over with how many hundreds of hours I've got on it. The 777 will be no different. This and the 172...
I use REX for graphics only. I find it far too clunky and hard on FPS for its other features. So OPUS weather, REX clouds, sky, airport textures. Seems like a good combination to me. I can...
Here's an example of the subtle night lighting effects. It has way more lighting options than any other light aircraft released to date.

Sure wish we could get a DME2 in the "No GPS" config. I know you can view another frequency independent from N1 but it'd be nice to see N1 DME and N2 DME at the same time.
Was happy to dig out...
The autopilot is already kicking my butt. You will have to un-learn all bad habits to fly this one properly. :redf:
Awesome! :ernae:
Opus gives me the best performance and good visuals, so I still use it. REX was by far the worst for FPS (but looked the best!), and Active Sky was somewhere in the middle. YMMV.
Would have liked to have some voice and less music, but it is a decent 60 second view of the plane.
I still consider the NGX the best FSX aircraft addon to date. The A2A 172 and PMDG 777 are...
Looks good but I've got my money set aside for the PMDG 777 and A2A 172, both of which are getting dangerously close to release. Maybe I'll check it out (way) later... :wiggle:
There are actually several big name developers who will not release products for P3D for legal reasons. It makes me wonder if their legal teams know something that the smaller devs don't. :kilroy:
I'll wait for the good 777 to come out. It won't be long now. :wavey:
I am good up through 17,000. I am 24, so I guess my hearing is right where it should be. Good news as I listen to a lot of music with high end headphones and a pretty powerful amplifier.
This...
Very cool! Thanks for the link. :wavey:
PMDG 777 and A2A 172 are the ones I'm waiting for.
Looking forward to the new Focke Wulfs though too.
I don't feel SOH is in decline, but I do feel the hobby is in decline. Whether they're popular or not, Microsoft's departure from FS was a huge deal. We've never had a sim as long as we've had FSX....
I don't have a single freeware aircraft in my hangar but I am certainly thankful for all of the free repaints out there. I guess the down side of constantly having bleeding edge payware come out is...
Would have preferred something a bit bigger, perhaps like the Phenom 300. There's a gaping hole when it comes to high quality business jets though, so it is good to see Carenado joining the club. ...
Haven't heard from Dano in quite some time. Glad to hear you guys are active again. Please send him my regards if you get the chance. Hope you're doing well too, Frank! :ernae:
Are you new to the internet? :isadizzy:
That's my final .02. Do as you wish. :salute:
Is there no changelog or am I just blind? :mixedsmi:
Thanks for the HU!
