I've been painting and flying Connies since last October, interspersed with Nigel's Avro's and a few other fun airplanes, but was bitten by the rotor bug a few days ago.
Stumbling across a photo...

My latest TWA constellation, an L-749 named Star of Portugal, resplendent in her overall aluminuim finish.
So far, I've managed to cover ALL the various paint schemes worn by TWA 'short fuselage'...
With eight individual paints of 1940-1950's TWA Connies (no Supers.. just the sexy sleek original fuselage) in the hangar, the work continues.
I have a good paint kit, based on the original...
Thanks Mick! Today she got her stripes and logos... Still very much a work in progress, but I'm designing my paint templates so I can tweak all the bits to do a couple of schemes as TWA evolved. ...
I've always LOVED Manfred Jahn's Connie collection... in part because I LOVE Connies.. and in part because they are so much fun to fly, and look great!!

That is the CaptainSim F-104 and that particular paint is my own rework after finding, downloading and flying the one by Ed Knapp. I've done a bit of personal 'editing' to Ed's original markings...
And what better to follow a Canadian Sabre? :-)
You have to admit, the Cold Lake based CF-104's sure were quite colorful compared to their Euro-based brethren!
cheers
Dave...
So, I climbed out of the Avro trainer cockpit I have been occupying in some form or another exclusively for MONTHS now.. (thanks NIGEL!!! lol) and swung my numb butt over the sill and into the seat...
Good lord that looks very much like Brian Quickmires's little bird up in Canada !! He's had his for decades. I reluctantly sold mine twenty years ago.. (marital discourse to put it mildly). Great...
Skirting along the south edge of the and anti-clockwise. Spending the night in Korogousou (GAGO)

As for FDE... marvelous work.. I've been fiddling a bit with the mongoose powered airplane.. and have it flying quite nicely with...
For those who are also waiting for this airplane....
All are still being tested by a VERY lucky bunch of pilots..... and as the testing progresses.. the project is also expanding... (poor Nigel)...
