Just uploaded. Still not happy with the drop tanks but not sure I ever would be. There as good as I can get them to my eye. Remember - this is a "D" model painted in the markings of a "C" model. There's a world of difference between the C and D but I liked the markings so...

In the cockpit image above you can see an out-of-focus texture along the inside of the cockpit. I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out where that was coming from. There are only 3 main textures and nothing looked similar until I started getting down low in the cockpit and looking at the underside of that area. Turns out it's the engine block, the yellow/gold color is coming from the exhaust manifold. With all the other textures to use that wouldn't interfere with the mapping. . .oh well. I hit a happy medium (for me at least) and covered a portion of the engine with a brown texture. Suits me fine since I don't fly from the outside staring at the engine, lol

no worries - having different opinions is as ordinary as being able to discuss them politely should be. Looks like we did both. Cheers, Jan and in the interest of staying on topic - looks like Pilot's is making relatively quick and positive upgrades to their Boeing - so that's great. Everything's coming up Milhouse

I might have to try that whenever I’ve the time. I spent some time in Luzon not to mention money as well like in new sunglasses new tv new jewelry new cell phone etc. getting back to the campaign does that use thế latest Philippine scenery package. I’m on a iPhone so can’t download just yet to see what’s all needed.

Hello everyone, I need some expert advice from the people who use MSFS on a regular basis. Been on FSX since 2007 and unable to go to MSFS due to outdated system. Now supply chain issues have mostly subsided here and I am finally near the end in terms of picking system components (building a system is now like trying to hit a moving target as new stuff comes out almost daily, stuff you picked is not compatible, or available anymore, etc. etc. .... lol). I have two choices : 1) case - Lian Li 011D XL processor - Ryzen 9 7950x3D ssd's - Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1x1TB (OS), 1x1TB (storage), 2x1TB (both devoted to MSFS)

That is a great article! I had been planning on doing the repaint since this past fall, and when I read the recent issue of Aeroplane, it got me energized to finally get it made. Back in the early 2000s, the History Channel had a brilliant series called "Battle Stations", which I recorded the episode on the P-51 and would replay it often (to get my Mustang fix, back before sites like Youtube sprang up). In that episode, there are great segments of interviews with original WWII Mustang pilots, one of them being Don Blakeslee. You can get sort of a sense of the character he had by his great responses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVCe2dZMc0w

Another thing it’s possible the aircraft were damaged after the first bombing and the AI they need better air files or a better handling planes then we do so if they have a couple of flak holes that might be enough to keep them from sticking their neck back out on the chopping block again. Kinda like sticking your finger in a fire. Hurt like Hell didn’t it. Don’t do that anymore I’m going home to mamma and that’s that. I’m just touchy up on some basics I’m sure some of the more experienced campaign making modders who have tried the same stunts you are will be along shortly but sometimes we overlook the small stuff and I’m sure more than one spark plug has been pulled or carburetor taken apart when the only thing was wrong was it was out of gas. Embarrassing yes but **** happens.

Yeah Huub. I used to run the 2004 in FSX before the conversion and they did work. As an aside, the solid nose version of Milton's A-26 does this too but for some reason the glass nose has normal bomb bay animation. (Or maybe it's the other way around.) As I said, I did get them to work but it affected the main gear display and animation. Is this a common problem during conversions? Is there anything I can do about it other than go back to the 2004 version? (And IF I do get it to work, would it be okay to post the modified MDL file? I'd ask permission but from what I've read Roy is tough to get a hold of.) I am still quite new to MCX (and WAY behind the curve for FS2020). There are a couple of planes I'd like to build but I'm still having trouble tackling this stuff.

Thanks, Huub. It's great scenery and definitely had me fooled. ATM I am at another crossroads with my current system. Heard a loud 'pop' a few days back on start-up, and no sound since. I think one or two capacitors quit on me in the logitech sound system. Currently looking for a place to fix. Three years back my AMD 7970 video card died, was then replaced with the current GeForce 1660Ti. Mouse and keyboard have been replaced just last week due to frequent wireless connection failures. I guess the need to upgrade to a new system has now shifted from a want, to more of a need, lol ! The system was built in 2011, so I guess more frequent failures are to be expected at this age.
