Fantastic looking model! For a young 2Lt in UPT in 1988, this jet was both intimidating and a blast. Memorization of the boldface was required prior to your first flight. The hardest boldface was the spin recovery... Throttles – Idle Rudder and Ailerons – Neutral Stick – Abruptly full aft and hold Rudder – Abruptly apply full rudder opposite spin direction (opposite turn needle) and hold Stick – Abruptly full forward one turn after applying rudder Controls – Neutral after spinning stops and recover from dive

Well, I'm posting pretty late but I didn't want to let this slip by. There are two freeware links for the Sea Fury: FSX/P3D v3,v4,v5 Hawker Sea Fury singleseater FSX/P3D v3,v4,v5 Hawker Sea Fury singleseater. Ian, are you referring to Shessi's FS9/CFS2 conversion of Ted Cook's original plane? If so, I don't see any lights on the aircraft day or night. There is a green and a red colored area on each wingtip but when I try to turn on the lights with the "L" key I don't see any illumination. Post a screen shot so I can see what your plane looks like with the lights constantly on.

I'm going to slip a thread jack under right here and *Yoink* I have successfully merged the L-4 gear and engine onto the J3 Tricycle Gear model and attached a new set of short wings. Now I have a basic exterior model of a Clipped Wing Cub. Still quite basic as it is using axis driven animations for most of the model but hopeful I can yoink the ailerons, rudder and tail wheel animations from the TG-8 Glider Cub for the main LOD later.

Don't feel bad, Deathwind. It's all good. To answer your question; no, there are 3 versions - all Thicko's - of the Pe-2, all pre-2010. The funny thing is, it flew for me (the series83) when I initially tested the mission, early last year. Now, all 3 variants/series cause a crash as noted. :dizzy: Scoobyman32, I will go back to the Pe-2 after I finish retesting/modifying the rest of the missions. Thanks for the tip, I will look for such problems with its gauges and cfg. YES there are many reasons for a plane not to work. The most common being sound - she's aliased to the Zero, so that is ruled out. I'm like you, I hate to lose or quit. :wavey:

I can't believe how good this is for freeware. Looks great, super fun to fly. Can't wait to see some more liveries for it! Lots of possibilities with the T-37... US with day-glo, silver, all-white, and even an A-37 would be fun despite the lack of tip tanks/pylons.

Thanks, Tom! I've been flying the heck out if and it has my really psyched for more from Virtavia. Only real issue I have is that the showcase/camera drone mode view doesn't work properly; haven't ever seen that with another plane. I'm guessing there are view parameters that Virtavia missed? You can't "free fly" the drone, the Showcase view is locked to the plane.

What a cool plane and she looks gorgeous, defiantly payware quality. The one bug I found with it so far is the VR camera position is way off, it sets you several feet in front of the plane so I had to fix it. If you want to fix it yourself here's my edit. Open the cameras.cfg and scroll down to and replace the whole section with this Title="PilotVR"

I couldn't agree with you more! The flightmodel seems too sporty. If I remember the FS9 and P3D offerings at the time, those had a lot less power. But like you, I LOVE this model! Priller

The ACE planes were also sometimes used for O-6 desk jockeys that wanted to do the minimum flight time required to maintain their flying status.

Your post can't be edited or quoted either. It's because of the non-standard characters in each. Yours is the é, and his is the slanted apostrophe in "community’s." If it's not US-based ASCII, it throws off the edit and quote functions. The work-around for editing is to copy the entire post first, then click the edit button and paste everything back in for editing.

If it was released anywhere else, I never saw it. It was just released on SimMarket yesterday, so I've edited the OP and it'll stuck for the next two weeks! :ernaehrung004:
